One of the things I like best about this outfit is the black tie shoe, which for me gives a no-nonsense, bold grounding to this look. The way this woman wears the white belted tunic, the simple but strong flowing overpiece in black, and her oversized glasses radiates a fearless and sophisticated style sense. Not surprisingly, this woman is a clothing designer, and she recently designed her daughter’s wedding dress.

I love her dress, especially the interesting closure of the belt, and the black knit cowl-neck scarf, black bag, and black strappy shoes really ground the light fabric of the main piece in lighter earth tones. Great smile, too!

Different Definitions of “Comfort”

She said she dresses for comfort; I said: I don’t think so when you consider how many yoga/sweat pants you see around town. Her streamlined (“comfortable”) footwear looks great the way she wears it with her rolled up pants. The lustrous blues and greens in her necklace add brilliance to her blue eyes. The complementary dash of lipstick, the auburn highlights in her hair, and even the umbrella and roller bag make that green coat pop. Great look!
