confidence, greens, women

Wow! Regal strength are the words that come to mind when I see this picture. The architectural backdrop, the hard shadows, the clean cut of her outfit, her direct gaze. I feel as though the camera has managed to capture, at this particular moment in time, a woman’s overwhelming confidence and grace. This woman is from Mexico, and although it was difficult to converse, she has communicated volumes with one simple stand. Stunning.

bold colours, shoes, women

Blocks of colour and clean lines – it’s a look that is so simple yet so compelling. The nude shoe is a great foot frame, and you can just glimpse the gorgeous indigo lining of the jacket in the turned-up sleeve, which looks so delicious against the filmy seafoam top. This woman is also wearing an intriguing necklace that features a shark tooth that she got from her grandfather. The stories make the outfits even more interesting, don’t they? She is a freelance stylist and works at Blubird clothing shop.

accessories, florals, ruffles, skirt, women

This woman gets paid to look good and she’s obviously good at her job. I caught her just before Action! on a piece on Vancouver style. I had no idea that she was “working” when I approached her. I love the florals with the ruffles (and the ruffled dog), and the wonderful tangle of accessories. What this look says to me is: sunny, young, smart – everything to look forward to.
