This man looks incredible! His suit is Savile Row, he’s guessing around 1965, but it looks like it was made for him yesterday the fit is so perfect. The hat he bought at Edie Hats on Granville Island. With the glasses, tie, and puff pocket square he is one super-dapper gentleman. Also, don’t miss the zippered leather case – exquisite. This man works in architecture.

Fifties with a Modern Twist

Her hair stopped me. Fabulous! And she knows how to strike a pose. This woman has such a bold, confident, fun style, which she described as modern fifties with a twist. She was a joy to encounter after the Grey Cup casual weekend. You can see a glimpse of the houndstooth vest under her coat. The variety of sheens, the grounding of the black tights and boots, the dash of matching lipstick – marvelous. This woman works in the hair industry but is moving towards a career in fashion.

Singular Style in a Sea of Conformity

Nothing like a Grey Cup Weekend to bust out the frontier spirit – loud, drunken, slovenly – at least this is the part that stands out for me. Herd mentality has ruled the sidewalks these past two days, with fans sporting oversized team jerseys and gaggles of boisterous cheering squads in full Barbie makeup with matching parkas and pom-poms. But that’s what Big Sports are all about… So I was elated to see this visual oasis on Hornby Street. This man is from England and he has stopped on the Canadian west coast to recoup before moving on to Montreal.
