Fresh, young, beautiful, I bumped into this woman walking her dog. What a fantastic suit. Conservative? Hardly – check out that frazzled hemline and the zippers on the pockets. This woman’s mother gave her this suit as a gift. Good choice, Mum – but then this woman would probably look good in most anything.

It was the quiet sophistication of these two women that caught my eye as they strolled down on Georgia Street. I love their individual styling, but I also like their matching colour palettes and yellow bags.

Maybe it’s the weather that’s making me so nostalgic today, but when I saw this woman I thought of dance. And yes, it turns out she was just coming out of a dance session. What kind, I asked. She said, freeform dance. What else? I can picture this woman dancing like the free-spirited Isadora Duncan at her studio along the Seine. A blast of spirit and colour on a rainy, grey morning.
