She Designs It, She Wears It

This woman is amazing. She made everything she’s wearing except for the jewelry. There is so much visual excitement in this black ensemble: a belted, collared cape made from luxurious fabric, a lacy, full skirt, a textured polka-dot scarf, and buckled Fluevog ankle boots. She sees things she likes in street markets or high-end stores then adds her own twist to create tailor-made pieces for herself and sometimes (lucky) friends and family. This woman is originally from Yugoslavia and here in Canada she misses the daily attention paid to styling and grooming among many Europeans.

Plum and pumpkin? Let’s just say it: ORANGE and PURPLE! They are one of my favourite colour combinations and this woman wears them so well. I love her burst of colour and the two-tone felt flower stuck on the collar of her cape. She is from the East Coast and I caught her walking down Robson Street.

Fendi, Fendi, bag and boots. I’m not a label hound but I was not surprised to learn that her boots were Fendi, considering they had my attention from half a block away. The cape is MaxMara. This woman really stands out in a crowd with her exceptional polish. Check out that magnificant hair, too. Of course, she works at the world’s preeminent jewelry and silverware company.
