I was strolling through Holt Renfrew when, WHAM, I saw this man. His regal presence was overwhelming and everyone in the place couldn’t help but cast admiring glances his way. Of course I had to meet him! Up close I felt the size of a gnat in comparison, style-wise and size-wise. This man was a great sport and happily followed me to this metallic wall for the photo, the perfect complement to his own dazzle. He is a Vancouverite originally from Haiti.
I love this guy! This is the second time I’ve style-eyed him and it was great to catch up on his life (first post Dec. 4). He is a music producer/composer and he is currently working on a contemporary opera piece in collaboration with another artist. I caught him just before jetting off to Taiwan. I love the little flurry of colour/pattern around his ankles and that dot of pink is from a big groovy belt buckle and the waistband of his briefs! He works at XOXO Entertainment.
Shall I tell you what I like about this? First of all, he’s just overall cool; otherwise, there are two things that I adore: 1) the way he has made the creative leap to pair this shorter blue jacket with the longer bulky brown sweater, and; 2) the personal styling of his jeans. He bought the jeans then had his way with them with acid, with wonderful results. Also liking those oversized sunglasses… Originally from Alberta, this man now works in the music business in Vancouver. (This was not your typical Santa Claus Parade styling. Thank you, thank you!)
