Want a free brain squeeze this weekend?
Come and hear me speak in Vancouver on Sunday!
I will be giving an artist talk with Dr. Paul G. Swingle at Baron Gallery on Sunday, July 8, 1:00 to 3-ish. My talk is called “Unlearning How to Paint” and the talk by Dr. Swingle is called “Art and the Brain” – I’ll present the chaos side of art production and Dr. Swingle will discuss neurology with reference to art, and artist block.
This is an encore of the talk of June 16. It’s a FREE event but seating is by reservation only. Please see Baron Gallery for details. Refreshments will be served. Baron is located at 293 Columbia Street.
Here is a review of the talk and my art by Alfred DePew, Vancouver Observer art critic and culture commentator.
Also, I led an action painting workshop at Baron Gallery on June 23. Wow! That was fun!! If you want to see what it was like, check out these photos!
I hope I’ll see you at the talk! Wear something faaabulous.
