I couldn’t resist her combination of red and green, and I was doubly pleased when she pulled a hat out of her bag to top off the look. The patterning of the coat with the blocks of black in the tights and boots and the red in the band of dress peeking out below also adds to the mix. She likes to “keep it unique” with regards to her style. The hat is from Anthropologie in Vancouver. Love her look and her smile.
She said she dresses for comfort; I said: I don’t think so when you consider how many yoga/sweat pants you see around town. Her streamlined (“comfortable”) footwear looks great the way she wears it with her rolled up pants. The lustrous blues and greens in her necklace add brilliance to her blue eyes. The complementary dash of lipstick, the auburn highlights in her hair, and even the umbrella and roller bag make that green coat pop. Great look!
Wow! Regal strength are the words that come to mind when I see this picture. The architectural backdrop, the hard shadows, the clean cut of her outfit, her direct gaze. I feel as though the camera has managed to capture, at this particular moment in time, a woman’s overwhelming confidence and grace. This woman is from Mexico, and although it was difficult to converse, she has communicated volumes with one simple stand. Stunning.
