hair, platforms, stripes, women, yellow

The perfect pose for this sunny spring style. Despite the dancer’s flourish, those are definitely not tap shoes, but don’t these platforms combined with her towering masterpiece of hair make this woman a stand-out! She had so much energy – I liked her instantly. She used to live in Russia and enjoys paying attention to her personal styling no matter what the obstacles. Let her be a lesson to us all. This woman is a teacher.

I was walking behind this man and fell for his hair! Magnificent hair! And then I saw his whole look – I should have guessed he is an artist. His name is Yared Nigussu and he is a painter whose work sells around the world. Originally from Ethiopia, he lives in Vancouver now. His work is carried by Kurbatoff Gallery. Check out his website here. You’ll love his stuff!

This woman just arrived in Vancouver from Paris yesterday and I thanked her for bringing her style to our city. Her look is so relaxed and unique. I love her wide belt and big hoop earrings in particular, and the colourful tongues of her shoes really play off the lemon top and vivid denim layered over the illusion of a black body-suit. Magnifique.
