Sometimes the word hat falls flat, so I must use French, chapeau, to describe her lovely leather topper, which was but one of her many beautiful accessories. The golden tones in her earrings and neck jewel from Palladio complement the sparkle in her brilliant blue eyes. Note, too, the elegant Prada bag sling, the balloon-bottom of her coat with its marvellous sheen, and those metallic sun-bronzed shoes. This woman’s texture combinations were a treat. She is originally from Montreal.
Again today I style-eyed a woman for the second time (first time here), and as chance would have it, I posted both women on the same day in February. I’m starting to see familiar faces…
Look at that metallic gold sweater. Isn’t it great the way it pops against her red leather jacket and ties in with her ruby red lipstick? Throw in a bold animal print scarf, some mod boots, and an oversized leather bag with zipper tracks every which way and we’re talking sizzle. Great retro sunglasses too. I caught this vibrant mother-daughter duo on Alberni Street. Ouch, don’t you love these metallic silver Dr. Martens shoes? Mom’s coat reminds me of dew-kissed berries and features fine applique and stitchery work – gorgeous, Italian-made. “Daughter” is studying at OCAD University in Toronto to be a stylist, which explains her magnificent pairing of the floaty chiffon skirt with this heavy-duty yet effervescent footwear. She tops the outfit with a beautiful poncho. Mom runs a bed and breakfast in North Vancouver, Crystal’s View, website here: http://www.bc-bedandbreakfast.com/.
