Mother-Daughter Duo Doing it Right

animal print, mother-daughter, scarf, shoes, skinny jeans

I caught the woman right a couple of days ago (see post Jan. 16), but today I happily stumbled across her in a crisp casual outfit as she was walking with her daughter, which I suppose is not too surprising in the downtown core of a city the size of Vancouver. How could I resist the chance to snap them together? It’s clear that the style eye runs in the family – both look smashing and they are incredibly photogenic. I’m particularly loving Daughter’s bold animal print legwear with her white ankle banding over black boots, and Mom’s chemical-white jacket, skinny jeans and black shoes.

coat, metallics, mother-daughter, poncho, shoes

I caught this vibrant mother-daughter duo on Alberni Street. Ouch, don’t you love these metallic silver Dr. Martens shoes? Mom’s coat reminds me of dew-kissed berries and features fine applique and stitchery work – gorgeous, Italian-made. “Daughter” is studying at OCAD University in Toronto to be a stylist, which explains her magnificent pairing of the floaty chiffon skirt with this heavy-duty yet effervescent footwear. She tops the outfit with a beautiful poncho. Mom runs a bed and breakfast in North Vancouver, Crystal’s View, website here: http://www.bc-bedandbreakfast.com/.
