actor, Bard on the Beach, colour, men, men's hat, moustache, red coat, yellow pants

He didn’t want to wear this winter coat today but had no choice – yes, there was a definite chill in the air. Thank goodness this is what he put on. I love this red. Doesn’t it look fantastic with those neon yellow trousers? Plus he’s wearing a fabulous hat and sports a beautifully waxed moustache. This man is an actor currently working for Vancouver’s annual Shakespearean festival, Bard on the Beach.

Astro Satchel, cashmere, couple, Front, jacket, lapel pin, moustache, overcoat, plaid, vintage

What a delightful chat I had with this couple from Victoria. Denise caught my eye first with her charming cropped jacket, which she had just bought at Front, a fantastic new/vintage shop on Main Street. Her bag is by Astro Satchel. I was almost too distracted to notice how dashing her partner GJ looks (below) with his wonderful moustache, sunset scarf, and felt lapel pin that Denise made. He scored the brilliant wool/cashmere overcoat at Value Village. Yesterday he “made” Denise try on a pretty frock at Anthropologie – that’s the kind of partner to have! You can check out this couple’s extraordinary life at their blog, The extraordinary adventures of d+gj.

cardigan, men, moustache, pocket chain, vintage

This man was actually feeling rather slobbish today – when he told me what he usually wears I could understand why. He favours a 1926 suit for a night on the town with his fashion designer girlfriend, and his preferred hat is a fedora, but only worn with finely tailored vintage suits to match. Nonetheless, his perfectly coiffed hair and moustache with this rich grey cardigan, 1940s boots, and pocket chain are far from lumberjack.
