She was putting money in the parking machine when I noticed how great her red animal print skirt looked against the red wall. I also like the metalwork – the way the purse chain, belt, and signature R all play off each other.

I was strolling through Holt Renfrew when, WHAM, I saw this man. His regal presence was overwhelming and everyone in the place couldn’t help but cast admiring glances his way. Of course I had to meet him! Up close I felt the size of a gnat in comparison, style-wise and size-wise. This man was a great sport and happily followed me to this metallic wall for the photo, the perfect complement to his own dazzle. He is a Vancouverite originally from Haiti.

There is a delicious twist everywhere I look – the reds in her leather jacket, hat, and lipstick, her tangle of chains and jumble of rings, the fishnet stockings… Alone each piece is solid, but together this woman has created a very bold and individual style statement. Wonderful.
