I spotted her in Holt Renfrew’s shoe department, and since we were both headed the same way of course I had to stop her to admire those fantastic lacy tights, the humongous signature ring and her snuggly wrapping. It turns out this is a Holt Renfrew coat – but she scored it at Value Village. The tights are from an incredible shop called Lace Embrace Atelier near Main and 16th, an area of town that boasts some of Vancouver’s finest local designers and vintage shops. But let’s not forget this woman’s most stunning attraction – her eyes of blue-green. She is a Vancouver resident originally from the island.

Ta-dah! Here she is to brighten up anyone’s day. Big, bold buttons, crazy swirly-q rain boots, a giant ring, and hunks of bracelet. Fantastic. And you can’t beat that smile. So what if it’s raining? she seems to say. Love this style.

blunt cut, chunky shoes, rings, uniform

Okay, so I style-eyed a uniform, not for the first time either, but I couldn’t help myself. This woman, who works at Sephora, said that she thought some name designer had styled this simple tunic with side slits and roomy slacks, and that she liked wearing it. And wear it she does, beautifully. The blunt-cut hair and chunky shoe also add dimension.
