I asked this woman two questions: 1) Do you work in a style-related business? – No; 2) Do you have anything you’d like to say about your style? – No. Simple as that. On anybody else this would be just a trenchcoat and a scarf, but on this woman these pieces are exceptional. I saw her shine from half a block away. She is a fine demonstration that it’s not just the clothes but the person in the clothes that separates drab from fab. I love her presence, her ease in front of the camera, and her attention to details.

I often see this woman when I’m out and have always admired her style. Today I was happy to catch her with my camera in hand. Her style is demure and elegant, defined by very trim, understated, and impeccable garments set off always with a pleasing pop of colour somewhere – today the colour is in her scarf and beautiful tote bag.

Casual Man Perfection

This trim man does jeans the right way! Wow! Dark denim, a neat tied leather shoe, a quality cardigan, and a crisp white button-down shirt. Wrapping it all up is a scarf he has thrown casually around his neck. His greatest features, though, were his winning smile and piercing blue-green eyes. (Sorry, I can only catch so much in a couple of quick snaps on the run!) Originally from Germany, this Vancouverite works in computers doing special effects. To perfect this winning metro style he turned to a stylist friend who specializes in men’s fashion for a helping hand.
