When I spotted this woman her buttery-white jacket was buttoned to the neck, but I liked those visible dashes of corals, pinks, and oranges. I’m glad she asked if I’d like her coat opened before I took the photo. Look at that garden of colour inside! And her cardigan had gold sparklies all over it. Lovely. This woman works in the insurance industry.
I know this woman from my mornings out and she looked so fabulous today I couldn’t resist some photos. She studied fashion design for a while and is a talented creator: the men’s T-shirt she is wearing she customized by altering the neckline, tying the shoulder, and hand-stitching on red sequins, see photo below. (She has another great hand-sequinned T-shirt of the Port Alberni water bombers.) The bag she sewed from a pattern given to her by a friend, before the days of laptop carriers, and she added red satin criss-cross lacing on the flap, zippers, and animal print lining. Heavenly.
Nothing like a little sparkle during the day, I say, and how easily this outfit could transition into something you’d wear for a fun night out. This woman is a professional model/actress ready for work and I caught her before her real shoot began. The off-shoulder draping of the top is visually soft and adds great textural contrast.
