Beautiful – this woman is so put together. The powder blue suit makes her blue eyes pop, as does the slight tinge of blue in her collar, and she frames these pastels with a beautiful black coat. She had this collar custom-coloured and tailored to match fur-trimmed gloves, and using the leftovers she had enough for matching trim on a hat. Doesn’t the complementary colour of the orange bag electrify the blues? At one time this woman wanted to study at Parsons in NYC, but she has obviously kept that artistic sense alive in her work in banking.
As I was waiting for a light to change I fell in love with how this man topped his trim ensemble with an irreverent skull motif scarf. He bought the scarf in Paris, where he often travels on business as a professional sommelier in Vancouver. It turns out his fabulous double-breasted suit comes from a friend who had it tailor-made in the 1960s. But his style story doesn’t end there. During our chat the subject of socks came up – I couldn’t resist a peep, which was so worth it, more skulls! (see photo below, and love the boots too) And then he removed the scarf to reveal a fabulous bow tie. (see photo below) THEN I discovered this man’s delightful suspenders by Turnbull & Asser, which I didn’t get a photo of. I mean, how far do I go? I dared not ask about his under clothing…! Such a treat to bump into this man.
